Spine Sculpture

This commissioned tectonic sculpture draws inspiration from the anatomy of the spinal cord. It consists of a series of stackable inidvidual discs each carved or textured with abstract patterns thus allowing them to be differentiated from each other. The endless possibilities for mutations and variations is facilitated through using a single type of joint. The forms and the language of the artwork thus invites the viewer to interact with it haptically or through play.
 
All Lazo Studio pieces are made to order and each is completely unique.
